I like to think I’m a pretty tough woman, but living alone can sometimes make anyone a little jumpy. I was definitely thankful that I had opted to install home security safety in my condo for those nights when I was feeling a little nervous. I lived in a great neighborhood, but it was still considered to be transitional. So, a few blocks in the wrong directions could land you in a part of town that is still slightly rundown. Luckily, since I owned a condo, I had plenty of neighbors that were very close to my age so I didn’t feel too unsafe. When I was looking to buy, I checked out many neighborhoods that were located all over my city, but something about the one I chose to live in spoke to me. First of all, it was affordable, but it also had more character than many other areas where I had looked. My city was very new and clean, which I appreciated, but I still longed for that uniqueness and character that only older cities had.
