The unknown is certainly a scary thing. My friend found this out this past weekend. Her son went to a party and ate something at the party, and ended up having an allergic reaction to something. He's allergic to many things, but he swears that he didn't eat anything that he wasn't supposed to. So apparently he's allergic to something that they are not aware of. She talked to the mother that was in charge of the party, and got a list of all the food served... so she can try to figure out what it was. She'll be taking her son back to their austin allergist to have more testing done. I can't even imagine what that must be like. I fear food, because I can't stop eating it and rely too much on it for comfort, but to have such a scary reaction to it is a whole different thing. I'm so glad I haven't developed any food allergies.
